OK - I've got ressies at WL, but didn't have quite enough points left this year to cover it - so I borrowed points from next year to do it. I'm waitlisted for AKV-K, and will drop WL if it comes through. Now, the problem is that WL is 10 points more than AKV-K. So, since some of the points used for this ressie are this year's points, can I bank them into next year so I don't lose 10 points? They are this year's points, and they haven't been banked or borrowed, so . . . I can bank this year's points, while using the points that I borrowed from next year - right?!?

Yes, you can do that. Just make sure that MS knows that is what you want to do if you change to AKV. Tell them to use the "borrowed" points first so that you can bank the ones from this year! It seems obvious that they would do this, but I am learning that it doesn't hurt to make sure you are clear when you call.

Have a great trip!!

Walk MS through what you want to do, double check before you hang up and check the member website to verify that they got it right. The majority of our point problems are when MS say they understand and they really don't.

Point corrections after the fact require a Team Line Adviser to correct the errors.

It all depends on the UY of your points. If you are within the last four months of the UY, you are too late to bank them.
