Born Again Christians Thread-No Bashing please

Just checking in....hope everyone is doing well. I am still in need of prayers.

Little update- Everything is looking up for us. I put my faith and trust in God and he provided. So many wonderful things have happened since I last posted.

My In-laws with whom I have never had any type of relationship with came down for a visit in early December. In the past, the visits have been really stressful and full of tension. I decided to give them a clean slate, forgive them for treating me like an outsider for the last 15 years just like Jesus taught. I prayed that God would give me the strength and wisdom to handle their visit and to finally bond with them. My DH prayed as well.

Well, the visit was amazing!!! My MIL even hugged me, multiple times, it was really nice to feel like she actually liked me. We had so much fun together and I honestly am looking forward to their next visit. This was not possible without God's help, it's all thanks to him. I'm so grateful.

It amazes me that after all the things I did the years before I was saved, the Lord still welcomed me with open arms and forgave me. I can't even express the joy that has been brought into our lives since we accepted Jesus, it's simply amazing.

I need prayer for protection for my son Travis.

This morning at school There was a boy named cody beating up another boy Alex.Alex ended up with a broken nose.My son Travis tried to help Alex.Travis was pushed and punched.Cody threatened Travis with a knife if he told anyone.

Travis came home for lunch but hes back at school now.
I called the school but the principle was in a meeting.Im waiting for him to call me back.

I am so scared for Travis.I am so proud of him too.Hes not even friends with Alex but he still tried to help him.Everyone else was too scared of cody to help.Travis is smaller then cody too.He knew he had no chance against cody but he was hoping that cody would forget about Alex.

Thankyou everyone for yor prayers.
The vice principle phoned me.The boy was suspended.I wasnt given very many details but he kept saying things like "if and when cody comes back to school".He said cody has to do alot of work before hes alound to return to school.If he does come back,if he even threatens Travis he will be kicked out of school and not aloud to come back.

Travis phoned me from the school.He found out that Codys friend is really mad and wants to beat him up.He doesnt know who the friend is so theres not alot the school can do.Please keep praying for Travis.Im so scared that hes going to get really hurt.Travis is really scared.
He is very sore from yesterday.
Im going to start picking him up from school.

Prayers said for Travis. Someone at this school knows who this kid is; but may be afraid to come forward. I hope that the principal will talk to the students and make it clear that he will not tolerate bullying. Our principal has done this at special assemblies and made it clear what would happen to those involved or covering for them. He has followed through and made school a lot safer for all. Please keep me updated. It is scary to a child to go through this;but it can be stopped.

Well,Cody is back at school today. Im keeping Travis home from school today.Travis is going to call his friends after school and see if there were any new threats.Cody had told his friends that when he returned to school he was going to bring a knife.
If nothing happens with cody at school today I will have to send Travis to school tommorow, but I will be driving him. I dont get why they would only suspend him for a week,he broke a boys nose in 2 places and made knife threats.There not taking the threats serously.

Hello all

Nice to find a group of believers here on the boards. My name is Tanya and I asked Jesus into my heart when I was eleven. I was in and out of church thru my teen years and early adult years. I didn't trully have a relationship with Him until the last few years though when I felt Him tugging at my heart. Now a day does not go by when I don't talk or spend some time with Him. I can look back on my life and see His hand guiding me all along, He is so good. My family and I go to a great church that is such a blessing!

Looking forward to "getting to know" each of you. I am so glad I found this thread!! May you all have a wonderful day.

Maybe you should meet face to face with the principal, or the school board.

We are from Canada. My husband talked to the principle.He said the most they can do is a 5 day suspension.They dont want to go as far as expelling him.They sent cody to a counsler to be evaluated.They think his knife threat is just talk.
they really dont do much about bulling here.My husband also called the police to see if theres any way that they could help.theres not.I think if Alex's dad got involved they would do more,but he has no interest in doing anything and Alex doesnt have a mom.

I do believe that God will protect Travis but I still feel scared.
