I seem to remember that someone mentioned that they had a section under their travel insurance that made payments relating to hurricanes - something along the lines of they had received 'compensation' as a result of losing days of their holidays as they were under curfew at their hotel.

Can anyone remember the name of the insurance company as I'm going in September and apparently there is a likelihood of hurricanes again this year.

I have booked 2 weeks travel insurance with Insure and Go, which, if you choose either the silver or gold packages, includes Catastrophe cover (i.e natural disasters). Don't think it pays for lost days (have to check that) but it does cover relocation costs if you have to move due to a hurricane (upto £1000). That cost around £35 pp, about £10 more than the basic cover which didn't include this element. Booked online - just search google for Insure & Go. Hope this helps.
