Bored with DHS

PP claimed that "DHS basically is the park that highlights Disney channel which targets preteens and teenagers.'

I begged to differ.

I maintain that regardless of what segment Disney Channel is targeting, no self-respecting teenager is watching that programming.

It's funny because years ago - maybe 2009 - we HAD to go to DHS to see the High School Musical parade. I think my daughter was 7 then (math is not my strong suit), and it was a HUGE deal to her then. She's 12 now, and over the Disney Channel.

I don't think that's the only reason that DHS is not interesting to us now, though. I actually think that many of the attractions are "once and done" attractions. I just don't want to see so many of the shows again, particularly when there are untapped attractions at Epcot and MK for us to explore.
I agree. Plus I don't think that DHS is particularly targeting that age group either. Sure they can appreciate the more thrilling aspects of ToT and RnR but one is about a classic TV show and one about an aging rock back. Also, the whole park is either about classic Hollywood or older movies or stuff for little kids.

I believe that teens are furthest from their minds.

Well, I just read they're taking out American Idol (apparently a rumor from CMs-read it on another board). So maybe they'll put something good in there ;)

I actually read this in my DIS Update emails today. AI and Indiana Jones will both be closed as of January 2015. I read they will be making a Star Wars land in the Indiana Jones area - I don't think it said what will become of AI. Interesting! :thumbsup2
