I have an hour or so to kill. I realize they're all different, and mine may have squat ~ but has anyone been to one in the last week or so?

Is it worth even bothering?

Oh, Lord. Don't ask an opinion on the Dis. You will be greeted with snarkiness and eye rolling.
Apparently, you should either go or don't go. It's up to you. Not the Dis.

The only one in my area has been closed for 6 months. Too bad, too, because I always found the place more friendly and helpful than Barnes & Noble.

I went last week, came out with 9 books and could've come out with more.

If you're looking for kids' books, don't bother. If you're looking for adult literature or non-fiction, it is definitely worth going.

I went last monday and got a travel book for 5 bucks. Worth it to me, but they really didn't have much that I was interested in.

I ended up with three books on Wednesday. I had never heard of the authors before, but they looked interesting. There was very little to choose from.

I went a few days ago and I agree with this. I could not find a single book for kids.
