It says at the bottom that the film is predicted to be the highest grossing comedy of all time. What does that say about people I wonder?

I've been following athread on the US board that is a bit of a debate as to whether the film is funny or not, I haven't seen it yet and won't bother til its on dvd, but I don't condone anyone hitting him. Personally the ONLY thing I like about him is that he's so un-p.c. in a world that is obsessed beyond sensibility by political correctness. That he is of eastern european descent and is Jewish yet highlights others prejudices against his own race by taking the pee out of himself, I find quite admirable. I think the only people who look stupid in the clips I've seen of this film are the bigots who actually believe in his fake misogyny and racism

I saw the film on Saturday. Parts of it were not funny at all (the running of the jew festival in his 'village' was stupid and not funny, not for any religious reason, it just wasn't funny).

However, there were parts of the film that were the funniest things i've seen in a long time. And the funniest and most shocking thing had nothing to do with making anyone else look stupid or silly, it was the wrestling scene which it something that sadly will be burnt in my brain for years to come...if you've seen the movie you know what I mean...

I like the idea of Borat and the way he highlights the prejudices, fears and phobias of others is quite brilliant. But i'm a bit dubious as to how certain scenes in his movie played out, some of it I found quite staged.

It may not be cool to like Borat but i'm afraid I do.
