Boozin’ It Up 12/5-12/7 coming ASAP

:cool1: Hope you'll get to listen to part of it. I don't get the radio broadcast out here except in stupid little pockets so it's either CSN or listening to the broadcast online. Stupid little area that I live in.

We have XM radio in the car so I think we should be able to catch it, though I have to drive so my mom doesn't kill us in her excitement/anger(depending on how they are doing).

I decided this all so sucks. I am not going until December. I have sooooooooooooooo long to wait.:rotfl:
That's awful. Trip reports are amazing and terrible at the same time. You get to feel as if you are their with the writers, but can also get very jealous.

I am not sure that I am not just anxious. It seems like forever since we went last. At least it is less than a year for us.:rotfl:

Looks like I'm not as prepared as I thought.

Guess I need to find a raincoat :sad1:

Boo for rain. I hope the forecast is wrong for you, but you'll have an awesome time regardless!

Go to Dollar Tree and buy the cheap rain ponchos. You can just toss them and not worry about them. We have been there when it rains and the lines are sooooo much shorter. Plus it's Disneyland!

I did go to the Dollar Tree. I nearly drove 20 minutes out of my way though. I forgot that there's a semi-new one 5 minutes from my house! Luckily I remembered right before I would pass it! Phew! :woohoo:

I bought two 2-packs of ponchos. So four ponchos total. I figure, if it rains Friday, we can wear the ponchos and then dispose of them that night so we don't have to deal with trying to refold wet ponchos to carry on Saturday.

QUESTION! Do they always open main street 30 minutes before the actual rope-drop? What do you think my odds would be that they do allow people in early on Friday the 6th? We are going to go straight to Fantasyland so I want to figure out a time I can get my birthday button. It would be nice if I could do that before rope-drop. Think I'll have any luck?

I have about 21 hours of work left, give or take. How agonizing.

Weather.com is screwing with me. Last night it showed there being 10% chance on Friday and 50% chance on Saturday. Now it's 30% chance for both days. Back and forth, back and forth. It's pouring up here! Would be nice to go someplace where it isn't raining.

Is the seating at Carnation Cafe covered? If it rains what happens there?

It's overcast here and not raining. I am so hoping that we don't get any rain tomorrow. I need a break.:goodvibes

Driving home last night was some of the heaviest/loudest rain I've ever driven in. Crazy crazy. And I left my umbrella at work yesterday, so I now I have to go sprint to my car so I don't get wet.

It poured here last night too. My husband is a bicycle person and he likes to ride on his days off. He'll ride rain or shine. The other day he came home so wet that he was able to wring his socks out. We need a break on one of his days off for dry riding.

So I have one sleep, 4.5 hours of work, and a little bit of wait time until we leave. I am about to explode from excitement. Time has been dragging by and it’s almost unbearable. Thought I’d tie everything up with some other random info about this trip.

I have frustrating feet. My heels are really narrow but the rest of my foot is normal size. Because of this, every shoe I have ever owned has slipped up and down in the back as I walk. Despite wearing socks, the back of my feet always get rubbed down raw if I’m walking a lot. The skin never has time to heal over because I can’t go days or weeks without walking. To prevent this, I try to always remember to put multiple Band-Aids back there to cushion. If I know I’m doing a ton of moving about, I’ll invest in Blister Band-Aids and moleskin. So for this trip, I made sure to add those to the top of my shopping list, and put extras in my bag. My trip could be ruined by raw, bloody heels(sorry if that’s TMI).

Another unfortunate part of the trip(and sorry in advance mom) is that there’s a snorer in our group of two. It’s not me. Earplugs had to be a must. I don’t want this to be a re-enactment of the night we shared a hotel room before I had to take my cosmetology licensing test. I wasn’t as perky as I should have been during my practical exam. I want to for sure be alert in Disneyland, therefore the need for many pairs of earplugs(gotta have back ups).

I’ve been adding stuff into the bag I bought to carry around the park. Most items are just in case items, but I don’t want anything to make this trip unhappy.

Kleenex in case of a runny nose, Purell in case we’re feeling sticky, a nail file because there’s nothing worse that a chip out of a nail and nothing to fix it with, Tylenol because a headache at Disneyland doesn’t sound good, a tooooon of bandaids for my feet :P, and Smarties because I was eating some while putting stuff in this bag. I’m not really putting the earplugs in there but I thought I’d show them so y’all know that I’m not kidding. The few other things that will be going in here are my camera, my cell phone, small wallet, and some chapstick. That sounds like a lot of stuff but it is actually very light.

Today, the weather for Friday and Saturday reads as sunny, 67 degrees, and 0-10% chance of rain. I hope it's not crowded!

I do believe that is everything. It’s all set and now I just have to survive the last hours of work before my plans can be set into motion. This has been a tough 5 months.

You're soooooo close now!!! Loved the "Smarties" :rotfl2: can't leave those out of the bag!!!!

I better sleep tonight! I have to drive tomorrow so that my mom can listen to the hockey game. Maybe I can sneak in a nap between work and departure.

I hope you get some sleep! That's my big fear, that I won't catch a wink and then expect to make the whole drive to Anaheim. Yay! DLR is withing your grasp!!

I was totally able to sleep through the night, I was very surprised. I do remember wacking myself in the mouth though, so my lip got crushed by my teeth. I woke up with a bit of a swollen bottom lip. But no one can really tell unless I point it out. Take a look:

Can you tell?

I couldn't get out of work fast enough. I stopped by Cosentino's on the way home and got some delicious croissants and muffins for our Breakfasts. All my stuff is packed and waiting by the door.

Now I'm waiting for my mom to get home. Should I try and take a little nap so I can be refreshed for the drive?(I'm not really tired, but it might be a good idea) Or should I save my sleep for tonight since I will probably have trouble the night before Disneyland!:woohoo:

Good golly whompers it's close for your trip. I hope you can sleep too. I am a sufferer of Disney insomnia, so I feel your pain.

Mom is on her way home! I'm trying to keep busy so I painted my nails. It's a good way to calm down.
