I know I need to get her the Rocky Horror Show one. That is her favorite movie, some bad older person corrupted her. I wonder who? Hmmm

Oh yeah. Plus she has babysitting money that she has saved back. She always babysits at the beginning of the month and she will have like $70 at the begining of March so she can buy a shirt and pants at least.

At the end of December she had like $100 that she went and bought herself clothes at Hot Topic. I believe that between there and JC Penney's junior department are her favortie places to shop.

I had forgotten up until today that we had planned on another Disneyland trip back in November of 2007. My family was able to get time off and I graduated from Cosmetology school in late October. Unfortunately, the date for my State Board(licensing) test ended up conflicting with the DLR time. It takes months to get a new state board date so we had to cancel Disneyland. Then I got a job the week after I passed my test, and we weren't able to find any more time off together. Bummer. I guess it was so sad that I erased it from my memory temporarily.

So on the two week to go mark, I thought it would be cute to get my mom a gift to tide us over for another 14 days. I went to the Disney store and bought us both a cute Mickey Mouse t-shirt. Here’s the front and back of them.

Then while looking around Old Navy, I decided to get us some 2 for $5 flip flops for when our feet hurt after the park/on the drive home. I got red for Mickey and Minnie and then got the brilliant idea to make them more Minnie-ish(Since we have the Mickey shirts). I painted black polka dots on them. I would have done white but I already had black paint. Oh well.

Then I put those in a bag with a Disney card and gave them to her that night. She was so excited! We can’t wait to wear our shirts together.

On the 7 day mark I presented her with these(well they are for both of us to enjoy on our ride down, and our tearful ride back home):

I actually haven't listened to them yet. The Disney's Happiest Celebration on Earth cd has all the ride songs, and the Disney's Greatest has a selection of songs from classic Disney movies. Good to sing and dance to in the car. I am a firm believer in car dancing. I have been caught many a time by surrounding cars at a red light..

I have both of those CD's. I really like the Greatest & have all 3 of them. I really wish they would make more of those!!

I just got the 50th 6-disc set of the Musical History of Disneyland. It's AWESOME!!!!! It has music from rides & attractions from over the years. It's a great set. We ripped & burned copies so I could take them on our trip. I put the original set back in the box & that is where they'll stay! The set came with a big glossy book & get this......a record album!! Man, that brings back memories!

Looks like you're getting everything in order.....we're doing the same. Just no Disney Stores close so I'll have to wait & get my shirts there!!

I don't know what else I can do to prepare. I have four more days of work to get through. That's going to be agonizing.

How sad about no Disney Stores. We have two within 10 minutes of each other, so if one store is out of something I can go to the other.

Totally just noticed you're not that far away from me. Actually, I'll be in SJ on Tuesday (Sharks game).

I could never have the will power to not play the CD's on repeat. I have all my music from the collections, rides, sountracks on one playlist on my iPod and I'm either listening to that or my Twilight soundtrack over and over and over. Let's just say my famlily doesn't find it amusing anymore but I never get tired of listening to it.

Good luck with that one It's a good idea though. That's what I plan to do with the money I'm saving up to take with me. It's getting hidden in with my clothes as I pack (because I have to start 4 weeks before we go - crazy me) so I wont get into it.
