It is official. All the pins with the bootleg origin have been removed from the Trade Assistant. They are still listed in the database so that you can still see them and find out info on them but you can no longer put them on your owns, trades, or wants, list.
I know this is going to cause a lot of contraversy and there will be screams of censorship and the like but I want everyone to understand where pinpics is coming from. PinPics has a very firm stand against counterfeit and bootleg pins. These are illegal and it has always bothered us that by having them trading on pinpics we were in fact giving them a venu to make money and disperse these pins perpetuating the entire process. And yet we couldnt' remove them because we are want the information to be there so that everyone would know they were illegal.
Finally we have had the time to take them out. We are taking a stand against the illegal use of disney characters or anyone's characters for that matter. I am sure this will not stop bootleg pins from being made but at least we have the knowledge that they are not being trade on pinpics.
I hope that everyone can understand and accept our stand on this matter. Once a pin has been set to bootleg origin only an Adminstrator can change it from that origin. The pins will remain in the database for informational purposes.
Happy Trading everyone,
Figgy and the PinPics Staff.
