boot camp prayer

I’m not sure if this the right place to do this but here i go. I was in marine corp. boot camp back in 1997. There was a prayer card that had a marine on the front and the prayer on the back. I had my bunk mate killed in irac earlier this week and i'm looking for this prayer. It ad some thing in it about watch over my marine tonight keep him safe from harm. It was like it was written by a mother or family member. Some one will know this prayer and were i can find it. It is for is mother. I hope some one can help me with. God bless all the fellow armed service men and woman serving today. and in the future and those in the past. semper fi. God bless you campos rest in piece. Keep heaven safe from harm.

I am sorry to hear that your buddy will not be coming home. Know this - HE IS A HERO! What they are doing is a great and noble thing!

I am not familiar with the prayer that you are talking about (I don’t remember it from my boot camp days either May ’85), but I found this link with many poems and prayers. If you scroll down you will find ones specifically for Marines. There are also ones written for/by parents.
