Have you checked Half.com or ebay for the 2008 guide? There might be some there.

Also, Passporter Store has the deluxe refills (which are the same as the 2008 book...just not bound). You could easily use binder rings to put this together or put them in a cheap day planner. Even better...you would only have to bring the pages you want instead of the whole book. I think I've just talked myself into getting my next Passporter this way!

No see, that just makes me have a idea. I can get the big book for my obsession of planning and such and get the refill pack that way I can have a small version to fit in my bookbag to take with me into the parks. Sure beats lugging around a bigger book. And there's no telling what condition my big one might be in by the time of our trip.

I have purchased the Deluxe Passporter for my past two Disney vacations. Not only does it have all the information you need, there are storage pockets and a page to write down reservation numbers, dinner confirmation numbers, and what you did for the day. It is invaluable for me! I think it cost around $40 (not sure, I got it as a gift), but it is well worth. You can get the regular version cheaper. The deluxe one comes in a leather carrying case.

Yes, there is a difference, new updates are sort of important for this year. But you can get the 2007 and download and print out the 2008 updates from the website. They can be easily fitted into your 2007.

I would also try to see if Amazon has the 2008.

That's a good idea! The Passporter site currently has the 2007 books on sale for $1.00 if anyone else has an interest.

Ultimate Guide.

Passporter is OK, but I have never learned anything new from Passporter.

However, I think Passporter has the advantage of being able to personalize your own trip into the book.

I ordered the 2007 version of the PassPorter from their website. Do you have to pay for the updates or can you download them from their website?

I'm addicted to these travel books! I have a ton of them and get most of them from half.com, which has great selection and prices on used books. Of course, my dh always says I could write one of them because I'm full of Disney info. Notice I didn't say useless Disney info, because no Disney info is ever useless!!!!

Unofficial Guide...if you have purchased a current edition, you can go on the website & get all the up to day info without paying again (they have questions you have to answer from looking in the current book...like What's the first word on the top of page 165...)

Been using the UG for a long, long time. First one I bought was size of normal paperback book...now they're like a dictionary, they're so big!

I believe you can download the updates for Passporter for free on the website.

I have the Deluxe leather bound edition and even though we live locally I get the new "insides" every year. We use the souvenier pages for keeping track of our "memorable moments" every year.

I use the Passporter and UG. For some reason I always buy the Passporter and check out the UG at the library....

The Unoffial guide is the most complete. They do so much research its a wonder they make any money.

I love the books too but if you are wanting advice and hints have you thought of using tour guide mike? it is like 20 bucks and you get info personalized for you and updates all the time.
