Books

Some more books:

Stuck in Neutral, Terry Trueman (Note: All of trueman's books are best suited for 7 and up.)

I don't know if I put this- Dragons in our Midst series (very God influenced series)

Among the Hidden series (finishing it up)

I've heard that these books are very good (never read them yet):
Da Vinci Code
To Kill a Mockingbird
Angels and Demons

Note: These books I've read are WAY above my grade level. If anyone knows my age, and is around it, don't read any of those. Other than Among the Hidden series.

I'm sorry for asking, but how old are you? I've read a couple of those books, and I didn't see anything really wrong with them?

but I am most likely older than you

Well the DV Code has a whole lot of sexual themes in it, so it depends on what your maturity level is somewhat. But Angels and Demons and the DV Code are basically the same in plot line. Some ancient organization that has the ability to undermine the church, must follow a bunch of clues to find them, the mastermind is the last person you would expect. I would recommend A&D more despite the discussion of Quantum Mechanics, all of his novels should be easy to read. Much more thought out with better ending.

Out of all of his books I would reccomend Deception Point, I think it is Dan Brown's best work to date.

As for my favorite books, hmm lets see.

All of the Dirk Pitt novels by Clive Cusstler
Harry Potter series
Left Behind Series

To Kill a Mocking Bird
Lord of the Flies
A Seperate Piece
Animal Farm (I thought it was okay...)
The Once and Future King

Those are all my favorites :thumbsup2
I love TKAM(to kill a mockingbird) but a separate peace was really boring
Some good books are
-the Avalon series

-Wicked- Mcguire (now the famous musical)

-The Key to the Kingdom series-Garth Nix

-Any Star Wars book... :-D

-Harry Potter

-The Time Machine -H.G.Wells

i have many others but those are pretty good...

Rebecca by Daphne Dumaurier

I just finished reading it and it was awsome! it starts kind of slow but it really catches your interest. plus the romance in it is cute.:: blushes sheepishly::read the book first and then watch the movie (it's in black and white, but it's directed by Alfred Hitchcock and stars my actor-in-old-movie-crush-who'd-I'd-be-obsessed-with-if-he-weren't-probably-dead-or-old-enough-to-be-my-great-grandfather LAWRENCE OLIVIER!)

I highly recommend ( :teeth: ) :

- Jane Eyre- Bronte

-To Kill a Mockingbird- Harper Lee

-Rebecca- Daphne DuMaurier (sp?)

-Silas Marner- sorry, I have no idea

-A Wrinkle in Time (and the sequels to it)- Madeleine L'Engle

These are all I can think of now...

RIGHT ON!

My daughter reads ALL the time.....she needs a good long summer read that she wont complete in under a day. She reads at a 10th grade level, if that helps. My only restrictions on content are violence and adult content (sex).

TIA!

Don't let her read Clive Cusstler then. It is not too bad, but in every book Dirk Pitt ends up with some hot girl in a foreign country.
