booklet in mail from Disney~

So I received a cute mailing from Disney Destinations with the "your story" really big on the outside. Inside was a 20? page booklet with maps, restaurants options, important things to know....and on the outer cover it says again...YOUR STORY....then lists MY last name. It even lists my reservation number and date on the inside cover. It is REALLY CUTE!
So now I have a few questions.
This is my first on site stay...Is this normal?
I actually booked 3 separate trips all at different on site hotels...but I only got one of these for just one trip? Is that normal?
This was the one reservation I made that was at concierge level....is this why I got it? Nothing in the booklet talks about special club perks....

Never got anything like that, booking through Disney, staying at the GCH every time. May be a Concierge thing.

It's not a concierge thing. We have gotten one the last several times we have gone. I always book at Disneyland.com and go 4 or 5 times a year. Not all have been concierge.
We have gotten it for PPH and GCH.

We got one too for our DLH stay for December and our WDW stay for February. We aren't staying concierge either but I think it's cute and helpful.

I would actually love details in advance about concierge....I'm a first timer and would like to know hours, location, ect.....

Just asked the wife. Did it have a Toy Story cover? Guess we did get one. She said its the first time it was a booklet, its usually a folder with separate pamphlets.

We stayed concierge there this last May.
Hours were 6:30 to 8.

It's on the 2nd floor. Big double doors to the left as you step off the elevator.

What else do you want to know?

Oh my gosh. I sure hope they don't send one to me. The GCH is a surprise for DH that I'm not planning on telling him until we get there!

But thanks for the heads up- I can work on making up some sort of story. I'm just the worlds worst liar!! And the secret alone is killing me to keep - a mailer would likely push me over the edge!!

We got one for GCH for our trip last December. You had better get to the mailbox first.

Breakfast was 6:30 to about 10 I think. Then they go straight to the snacks only. Strawberries came out around 6. The best desserts go fast!
We felt the PPH's concierge service a bit kacking compared to GCH. We mainly like PPH's for a quick breakfast and drinks all day. Ask for water. They will give you 2 bottles at a time for each guest. This last trip we actually had 7 bottles of water come home with us.

I actual have buyers remorse....but when I tried to rebook the standard rooms they were all out (Tink weekend).
I did this as an upgrade for a friend that may be sharing my room...who I haven't seen in years. I thought it would be extra special.

We will call this a splurge treat for my first 10k run ever

If you use it for breakfast, coffee, sodas, water, wine and beer after 6 and desserts you will feel you got your $ worth. Just remember to use it as much as possible.
My DDs like concierge just for the desserts. They know it's harder for Mom to say no if it's already paid for.

Oh... another tid bit... the evening appetizers we found un- appetizing.

AND don't forget that you DO NOT check in at the front desk. When you get to the lobby go straight to the elevators (regular or glass) and go to the lounge. You will sit at the desk and be checked in there.

Just looked at the prices... $200/night at DLH and $300+ per night at GCH. You could eat at C33 every night for 2 with 3-4 drinks including tip for $300/day. That seems pretty rich for a few cater-quality finger foods and some sodas. I'd reconsider it unless you are getting some serious discount or really need Concierge bookings or something.
