Booking with Member's Cash, but-

My parents would be staying in the room. I'm going to WDW with them (I must be crazy) but they want their own room. So, I want to book 2 studios, 1 with points (for me) and 1 with cash, for my parents. Can I use member's cash for my parents room, thus saving them 25%, or do they have to book at full price thru CRO?

I'm not positive, but I seem to recall reading that the member must stay in the cash room. Maybe your parents can stay in the "points" room, you in the Members cash room and they can just pay you instead of Disney.

Technically the member has to be staying in the cash room but if you're there it should not be a problem. Anytime you can present yourself at the front desk you should be able to get the discount, esp since it sounds like your paying anyway.

Technically they should not be allowed to get the discount unless they are on the contract. You have a choice. Keep your mouth shut and hope it works out or try for clarification realizing you may get the answer you don't want. I doubt they'll worry about it, esp if they made the reservation in her name to start with. If it's not in her name, but in yours, I think you have reason to worry.

We have 2 rooms booked with points and 1 with the cash discount. We've called many times (adding magical express, dining plan, changing nights) and no one has ever questioned or said a word about us not staying in the room on cash. I wasn't aware that you weren't supposed to do this. Since we have the ressie, I am going to assume it's valid.
