Booking with CASH

Im just wondering something when you book with cash through disney's site.
Do you get a letter saying that you booked and how many days away and what important dates are like they do for disneyworld?

We got an email after we booked and then a few more emails about things to do, etc... We did not receive anything in the mail.

We’ve only ever received a confirmation email stating dates booked, room category and price paid. No information regarding what’s on / special events etc. I’m assuming something like the current pool renovations would be included as it is such a major interruption to their normal business.
