Booking wedding 9 months out...too late?

My boyfriend is driving me crazy. Discussing all these plans with me and I know he has the ring but today said it will be months before he proposes and since we want a March 2015 wedding, it'd be about 9 months out for booking. Is that too late? I tried to explain that weddings are often booked a year in advance, but he doesn't get it. We are looking at a small wedding (20 people) at the Swan/ Dolphin just an FYI with a brunch or dinner reception.

We planned our wedding in just under 5 months with no problem. I've seen Wishes weddings planned in one month and Escape or Memories weddings planned in even less.

I'd love to say yes but he's horrible at secrets and it'd be the biggest shock of my life lol. He mumbled something about booking 9 months out which puts us into May, my birthday month. So maybe then? I was hoping for 2 weeks when we will be in Orlando for spring break.

I've already gathered a list of possible reception sites and other group meal ideas. And my Pinterest is loaded with ideas for cakes, flowers, etc so it'll probably be unofficially planned even before I get the ring lol!

I booked a Wishes wedding at 9 months out (decided to upgrade from Escape) and had no issues with availability. You should be fine!
