Booking Walt's for the parade

Hi. Just called the reservation line and asked to book Walt's for the parade as I've seen others do here. Timing is mid August. I was told the parade starts at 5:30 and the earliest seating is at 6 and the restaurant was closed at 5. How do I get this booked?

sorry i'm a bit confused - what did the reservation line tell you? Did they tell you the restaurant is only open from 6pm? Thats possible, Walts doesn't open all day every day. What did they say was the opening hours for Walts on the day you wanted to book it?

Unfortunately you will not be able to. In previous summers the parade was later in the evening when the restaurant was open. When we watched the parade from there at Christmas the restaurant was open for lunch & the parade was early afternoon.

In the summer this year Walts is only open for dinner every day, it is not opening at lunch (at least until the end of August according to their opening times.)

Yes, they said the restaurant is opening at 6pm. So no seating for the parade this trip. But getting good info from the board to help plan the trip so thanks for the feedback.

I Personally would not book at the time of the parade, after my last experience. We arrived and were seated at a window table in an empty room, which quickly filled. A lady and her daughter then arrived some 40 mins into my meal and were seated opp us- the Girl wanted a window table and the mother then kicked off demanding one. We were 2 adults and if we were not so far into our meal we would have swapped, but the woman made it clear to us that she thought we were in her table, it made for a rather uncomfortable dining experience considering how close the tables are.

This was my second bad experience at Walts sadly, I want to love the place but really cant, maybe I will Try a 3rd time, though I have to say - the steakhouse in the village was a lot better food quicker service, not rushed, but its not in the park :-(
