booking w/DL.com

Mostly because I'll have about $1,000 in Disney Rewards (we use the Visa for everything and it's been awhile since we've been to DL!) and I want to use that to pay for the room. :cool1:

We have always used getawaytoday for hotel and tickets. We book airfare separately. After reading this board, though, I think I will not book a package again. I have found very useful info here :flower3: on this board and plan to use what i have learned for our next trip (maybe Dec. 08).

Getaway today has a refund policy and a change policy, you can also buy park tickets separately. We have been very pleased with them.

This is our first time to fly with our children to DLR, we usually drive. :drive: But, I didn't want to drive 10 hours with a 3 and 5 year old, flying is soooo much faster.

I checked out the kids fly free deals and none of them turned out to be better than what I could come up with, in fact, some of them were up to $1000 more. :crazy2:

Hope this helps!!

we did everything seperate last year {except we booked our hotel through getawaytoday.com} and overall probably came out cheaper...but this year I booked with AAA {and added a character breakfast and dinner} and it is worth it just so I can get those few extra perks, plus it is very nice to put down a deposit and then call each payday and make a payment...I am going to book my mom's flight speratley {we will be driving} but already had a shuttle ride from the airport to the Disneyland Hotel as part of my package for my mom so she doesn't have to worry about that....I guess it's like everyone else said, if's whatever your preference is...I do like the fact that someone else did all the work for me and all I have to do is call and make a payment every payday and then the bulk of my trip is paid for {except for extras here and there} before we even leave!

this is what I am getting for my money total $3070.80 {4 adults 1 child}

ETA: I am in the military and my stay at the hotel {alone}, with a military discount, would have been $2475.00 so for roughly $600.00more I got the tickets and the 2 character meals {which each would have been >$100 each}; so I don't think it was too bad of a deal for me!....

I saved 100.00 per room by just booking DGC rooms using my AAA discount. Then while I was booking, the agent added the tickets for the same reduced price that was on the Disney site.(it was like 1.00 more than that discount place, but no shipping as they are giving us the tickets when we check in. The extra 100.00 would have gotten me a pin, fun book, magic coin and that's about it. I can already get in all EE (whatever they are called now) days because of staying on site. AAA packages were also more expensive as were several on line travel companies.

Wow so many great answers!

I am going get a package deal, either from DL.com AAA or Costco. Since we won't be visiting until Oct I have plenty of time to decide which one is best for me. Just need to see which one will have better perks.

I just want to make sure we get to do the trick or treating thing in Disney. My DS will be 6 and I am sure he will love it.

I think I will book my flights seperately though.
