Booking VWL for Dec 2006

We are planning a trip for The first week of Dec in 2006 at VWL. I know this is a high demand. Since VWL is our home resprt, I have the 11 month booking window.

My question is do you think I need to book day-by-day to get a dedicated 2 bedroom or can I just call 11 months ahead of our check out date and be okay? I'm just not sure how quick those early weeks of December fill up.

Anyone have experience to share to help me out?

IMHO, I'd book day by day during that high peak period at the smallest DVC resort. Why take the chance? It's not very difficult and after the first call, each subsequent one takes less than 30 seconds of phone time once you hook up with MS.

Thanks Granny! I wasn't sure if I was overestimating the demand and MS would think I was some kind of nut.

OTOH - I wouldn't want to wait and then not get the ressie!

Good to know. We're brand new VWL owners and want to book 2-2 bedrooms for our family in Dec 2006.
