Booking Universal for Sept. 2022

Hello, I was wondering if it's smart to book for Sept. 2022 now. Will I miss out on any discounts that come out within the next year? Looking to book 4 nights at the Hard Rock.

Nope, I’d book at a rate you feel comfortable with, and then look out for discounts as the time goes on. You can always cancel and rebook, or call and have your rate adjusted when you see a lower rate.

Interestingly, I booked end of September this year, last year at a ST rate. When AP rates came out, there was nothing available when I booked. But I kept checking, and just today, saw a better AP rate for the first time ever since I booked. Called, and with then a less than 5 minute wait, got them to change it to that lower rate. Wasn’t a big amount, but a couple hundred dollars saved makes me happy.

Good choice. I booked RPR on 6/25 for September 2022. 3 nights at $245.25 & 2 at $266.25 + tax for standard 2 queen. If I can do better later fine, if not that’s fine too.

I also booked recently for the 2 bedroom portofino parlor suite for August 2022 at a great rate for that room.

Thanks to this thread, I just booked my stay for next September. I was going to wait a bit, but the price is decent so I might as well lock in now. I'm all set now with two trips booked for 2022, May and September. Next on the list will be AP's.

Sure. It was $970/night or something close to that - we booked the 2 bedroom Portofino Parlor Suite with the connecting queen, bay view. We have paid as much as $1400/night for that room on other trips so we thought that was a good price.

Hi Deb - quick question. I just booked the 2 bedroom Portofino Parlor suite (bay view) for September. I know that the garden view rooms are located in the West Wing - do you happen to know if the bay view parlor suites are also located in The West Wing? Thanks in advance!

Hi there. From my experience (booking that room since 2014) the room will most definitely be West Wing almost directly behind where the boat launch is. We have been known to watch through the window and then run down when we see the boat pulling up.
