How many of you buy the travel insurance that's added to the package price? I'm opting out but the agent was really relunctant in letting me do so and told me some bad experiences and the need to have it.

Any thoughts?

I opted out too. I did change my ressies at 45 days and paid 25$ but to a less expensive hotel and saved almost $200 including the $25 change fee.
I guess you should ask yourself if something happened; if you got sick? Would you still go? I would, I have older kids who would drive watch the little ones and such. So it was worthless to me.
They told me the fee schedule till my head was pounding. I read somewhere from AAA to beware of
Travel insurance and read the fine print it may not always be worth it. For me it wasn't.
We leave in 12 days! :woohoo:

We did take the travel insurnce when we booked through WDTC - and I am sooooooo glad we did. We're from Canada and my son got very sick and ended up in the hospital! The total bill was thousands of dollars, so the $50 or so that I spent for the insurance was well worth it!

We've gotten it before & had to cancel due to circumstances & with it, I didn't lose out on all the money. We've also gotten it & never used it.....so it's there if you need it & a money gone if you don't use it. I like having the safety net there...just in case.

If it's cheap I would go for it. Like the poster above me its just a safety net...

We did not, as I looked at the details, I realized that you can cancel your vacation up until 4 days before and the fee would be $200. We are not flying, I might be more inclined to purchase the insurance if we were flying. But I would purchase through someone else, for less money. Disney always charges more than others.
