Has anyone booked Disney rooms thru Expedia, Travelocity, etc.? I was wondering if there are any disadvantages to booking this way. We have 5 people in our party and I know some of the sites will only let you book for 4. Any experiences with this, positive or negative, would be greatly appreciated!

We booked through Expedia last year. This year directly through Disney. I haven't noticed any difference yet. This year Disney has "Disney's Magical Express" and I wonder if that would be offered if you book through Expedia??? We had a group of 4, so we didn't run into any problems. I would just check which way is cheaper and go with that! Either way...have FUN!!!

I don't know about the 4 v. 5 issue, but I haven't had any problem with expedia. The key disadvantages are that you usually have to prepay for the entire reservation, and cancelation outside the 6-day window costs you something (which disney doesn't charge) -- like $25 or something. Also, if you book through expedia, CRO won't let you make requests directly, like for particular views or buildings.

But we did great with expedia. Once, after codes came out, the code was sold out through CRO, but we got the same code through expedia. We were treated great -- just like a regular guest.
