Booking through Orbitz

We are a family of six. I just booked two rooms on Disney property and two rooms at Universal through Orbitz. I know they charge extra for more than two people in the room so online I listed 1 adult and 1 child per room. I know I have to call Orbitz to add the kids to my Disney reservation in order to get Magic Bands, but is it necessary to add the kids to our Universal reservation, or can they kids be added when we check in?

We are just returning from a Univ trip staying at Royal Pacific. I booked through Orbitz and added kids at check in. No problem.
