I booked yesterday through AAA for 2006 for Poly (8 nights + package) and ASMovies for one night. Will the reservation #'s that I get from AAA work on the Disney site under My Vacations. In other words, if I type in my AAA reservation #, will I see my package come up on the Disney site? I tried it and so far it's not working, but I didn't know if it's because the reservations are new and haven't hit yet?

Anything else I should know about going through AAA? I saved a lot of money (about $500) but I just want to be sure I'm not missing out on anything because I didn't book directly through Disney.

Thanks for any words of wisdom!

If you book your trip through a travel agent, including AAA, you will not be able to access your reservation information on the Disney website.

Thanks Dodie. Have you booked via AAA before? I haven't gotten any written confirmation in detail from them yet, I assume it's coming, I just want to be sure it's all correct. I hate to think it was all arranged and find out that it's somehow wrong!!

If you really want total control over your reservation (I am a control freak) you can book directly through Disney and ask for the AAA discount. I have not ever had a problem getting the discount in fact I just did it yesterday.

You can only do that with room only ressies though. If you get a package that includes tickets AND a room discount- you have to book through AAA. Maybe you can access it after your vacation is completely paid for. I'm not sure :confused3

It is likely AAA had to use the same Disney website we all do when booking our vacations. Ask your AAA agent for the confirmation number and whatever phone number they used to book the trip, and you just might be able to pull it up on Disney's website. I know you can do this with Magical Journeys-booked trips.

Right Mermaid 02. That's what I was told as well. I actually booked through Disney first, and then called AAA finding it to be $500 cheaper with a discount on the package rather than just the room.

Thanks for the info on the package. We always book room only since we usually have an AP and reserve the AAA just in case of no AP rate. This is good to know for the future!

I booked my upcoming Sept vacation through AAA and I am able to access my reservation info on the Disney website under My Disney vacation. I didnt have to put in my reservation number I just signed in with my name and password (I am registered on the Disney site). I am paid in full ... I am not sure if that makes a difference.
There are great benefits to booking w/ AAA. They have a special lounge in tomorrowland w/ free bottled water. I believe you can only access the lounge once during your stay however.
You can also get discount on shopping in downtown Disney and I believe dining too. I will check my package and get back to you.
You can get discounts on all the tours offered at Disney too but if you have a Disney visa ... you get a better discount w/ that.
I will check my packet that AAA sent and give you all the benfits

I can't remember for sure, but when we booked our vacation at AAA this past mid January for a trip in May, our packet didn't come until, (if memory serves me rigtht) until the end of March. Your TA would be able to tell you when to expect it to come it, it will probably come to the AAA travel office and you will then have to go pick it up. At least that is what we did. Also if you are flying in and using Magical Express, your luggage tags for ME will also come to the AAA travel office and you will either have to pick them up or have them mail them to you if there is enough time. Anyway, have a great time, anticipation and plannig is half the fun! :cool1:
