Booking the Planning session

I would really like to book my planning session in the next few weeks, but I do not have my date confirmed yet. I am flexible with the date, but not the day of the week or locations. Do you think it is ok to book my hotel and flights? I am planning on doing the PS in mid December and the wedding in late May or very early June.

I wasn't able to book my planning session until I signed my Wishes contract. You can book your PS with your sales consultant because that's how I did it but not until you put your deposit down and have a signed contract.

I wouldn book hotels/flights for a PS trip until you have it confirmed, what if it's not available for the days you want?

I guess I should refraise my question because I just re-read it and it sounds confusing. I don't want to book the actual PS, just the vacation part (hotel and flights.) We are planning on being there for a week, and I doesn't matter to me which day the actual PS will be, do you still think it would be better to wait for the flights and hotel? We have the money saved to pay for it and I'm just afraid we are going to spend it or the hotel or flights are going to go up. Thanks for any advice!

I would still wait to book flights and hotel. Things can always pop up and December is a very busy month at WDW. Things could be blocked out or planners could be on vacation. Once you get your date confirmed you can book you PS immediately. How far into the deposit/date process are you? You may only have to wait a week or two.

When I booked my planning session my coordinator asked me to give him three possible date choices, and they all had to be during different weeks (apparently because of the way they assign planners, if the planner isn't free on Monday, they are also not free the rest of that week). So I would probably wait if you can. But if you really want to book, my suggestion is to call your coordinator and just explain your situation and ask if you can be assigned a planning session date now.

Thanks girls. My other problem is that me and DF are both in college, and I will be Student Teaching next Spring semester, which means I absolutely cannot miss any school. So basically the time when we can do a PS is VERY limited. I hope that they would be able to fit us in when we can come, that would really stink otherwise, we would probably just have to forget the whole thing. I am still almost 2 months away from being able to get my date confirmed, although I will be speaking with Bill hopefully sometime this week so I will ask him about it then. when we booked(inside the year mark), signed our LOA and had a site visit we were able to tell our coordinator we planned on being down such and such a time and wanted to do a PS session then and she noted it, but it wasn't until we were assigned our planner that we could actually schedule an actual a date.....
