Booking The Beak & Barrel Aug. 20th at 7pm EST!!

I can refresh without changing party size, it stays the same. Hit the refresh and that's it. I'm using chrome on mackbook but it works on safari too. I'm not sure about the app. This is the link: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dine-res/restaurant/412358722/3. My last number is 3 in the address because I'm trying for 3 people. I changed it to 4 and it checked for 4 people. You might play around with it. And I'm not sure if this link will work when it's go time. But, I get the updated messages and no way am I closing
it haha.
Thanks!

1) First real bar in the Magic Kingdom :drinking1Gosh I hope Villains Land gets one!
2) PIRATES 🏴‍☠️ Yo Ho Yo Ho ... Why is the rum gone?
3) HIGHLY THEMED right up there with Trader Sam's and Oga's
4) I'd say very appealing appetizers unlike Oga's awful offering
5) The one ADR in the MK I will try for every trip!

It will stay busy for the long term!
I agree. It is not just that it is a lounge, but that it looks like it is so much fun inside. My family loves the MK, but now that our grandddaughter is older we enjoy the park differently. Yes, we have our favorite attractions, and we alsys enjoy meals, but we also look for new experiences. This lounge is one of them.

Looks like will have to use web browser (vs. the app) to make reservations. Hoping the removal/redirect to the web browser is just temporary to manage the anticipated volume this evening.

Walt Disney World Removes Dining Reservation Capabilities from My Disney Experience App
Ahead of round two of trying to open Beak and Barrel dining reservations, Walt Disney World has made a major change to how dining reservations are made in the My Disney Experience app. In short, the reservations are no longer made in the app. Just like Disney Park Pass reservations, the My Disney Experience app now sends guests to a web browser when trying to search for and make dining reservations within the app.

Most intriguing. Wonder if there was something in the app bad actors were exploiting.

At least this settles the app vs website conundrum. Now onto which browser...

I have checked each morning just to be safe, but not waking early - I check around 8:30am each day. I'm much happier with the PM time - though I still may not be fast enough to get a spot, I at least don't have to alter when I wake to have a shot. Though I do now need to decide if I should eat dinner early and be done by 7pm, or eat dinner late, after I've tried to get a res. Usually, I eat right around 6:45 - 7:15!

While I know it's probably wrong in these forums, I must admit I really would have loved for this to be a 21-and-up spot. I'm fine with kids all over the Disney parks, but do find it nice when there are a few spots for adults only. Maybe once it's been open a while and the newness rubs off, they might decide to do an all-ages during the day, and maybe switch it to 21-and-up after 6pm or so. I enjoy Trader Sam's later in the evening when it goes all-adult, and looking forward to Geo-82 this trip - so we'll have some adult-only spots to visit already.

Quoting my own post to provide update - there will be a virtual waiting room

Walt Disney World Prepares Virtual Waiting Room for Beak & Barrel Reservation Booking
According to information obtained by BlogMickey.com, Walt Disney World has implemented a virtual waiting room for its dining reservation system. This virtual waiting room is technically in place right now, but is not needed due to manageable demand on the Walt Disney World website. It is likely that the virtual waiting room will be implemented later this evening as we approach the 7pm go-live time for Beak and Barrel reservations.
...
Earlier today, we wrote an article noting that the ability to search for and make advanced dining reservations was removed from the My Disney Experience app. With our new reporting that a virtual waiting room has been put in place, it is likely that today’s change to the My Disney Experience app is temporary. By pushing guests out of the app and onto the website, Disney can manage demand via the planned virtual waiting room.

Walt Disney World has not confirmed details of the virtual waiting room, and they have not returned a request for more information about the changes to the My Disney Experience app.

If you’re planning on trying to make a Beak and Barrel reservation tonight at 7pm, we would recommend planning to use the Walt Disney World website, and to be prepared to wait in a virtual waiting room as Disney carefully manages demand on its website.

My hopes are up for a reservation... but after my recent failure with Space 220 Lounge, I really need to manage my expectations better!

Me too, honestly. I know I know, Disney is for kids... but also, we make the money and we are DINKs... so let us spend it there. I think one 'break room' in every park would be fantastic.
Im ok with MK being the "dry" zone, enough people already act inappropriately as they do without introducing alcohol in the mix. If theres anywhere for kids to be shielded from that as much as possible, it should be MK.

My hope is the two drink limit would mostly decrease that fact. I never see anything outside of Epcot in terms of inappropriate. And, we don't drink; none in my family or party do. So, you'd have 20 people there buying mocktails and small bites just to get a break.
