Do you think it will be cooling down a bit at around 5:00pm in august? I don't want to book morning or afternoon because I know we will be getting the heat on the back nine. I can't really remember, I know its still HOT but is it a little cooler then Noon. Thanks

Chances are high that it will be thundering & raining every day at that time in August. Book for very early morning.

I agree completely. Book the earliest tee-time you can as the norm in Aug is late afternoon thunder showers as the heat and humid rise through out the day. It will be hot and humid as you finish up the back 9 as you suggested but you should be done by 11am or so which isnt too bad. It is much better than being extremely hot and humid the entire time and then getting drenched in a down pour and/or being postponed or cancelled due to lightening/thunder storms.

We live just outside Orlando and play the Disney courses often. We always book our tee times around 10AM to take advantage of our DVC Annual Golf Member discount.

It's hot in August no matter what. We often experience thunder storms between 3PM and 5PM. If you would like to play late afternoon, why not do it at the last minute. You can always call and see if something is available a couple of hours before you would like to go out.

The ideal is that a storm comes through between 3-5, cools things down and wets the greens so your ball sticks. But you can't exactly count on that.
