Booking system question - DTC/CRO

Hi! First, let me just say that I'm jumping for joy because I just booked a room-only, 3-night stay at POFQ for this October! Sure . . . it's a short trip. And sure . . .it'll be on Columbus Day weekend, but I don't care. I get to go to MNSSHP again, so I'll be having fun no matter how long the lines are!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!! (I didn't expect to go back until Dec 2005, as you all can see by my countdown....I will be changing that soon.)

Anyway, on with the questions. Are all room-only reservations now booked solely through the CRO system? I put down a deposit equivalent to a one-night's stay, and the CM said that I could get a full refund as long as I cancel up to 5 days prior to check in. Sounds like CRO to me. I'm hoping so since I want to watch for room-only discounts available to the public in the months to come. In the past it was always easier to apply room-only discounts to CRO-booked reservations vs. DTC-booked reservations. Does it sound like I'm set for an easy application of a discount IF one comes available?

Room only and packages are booked in the same system.

If your confirmation # has 12 digits you have a room only reservation, one night stay plus tax is the deposit.The balance can be paid at the resort. You can cancel 5 days prior to arrival without penalty.

If your confirmation # has 8 digits you have a package. The deposit is $200. The balance is due 45 days prior to arrival. You can cancel with no penalty outside 45 days. Inside 45 days the penalty is $100, inside 14 days the penalty is $200.

Room only reservations are booked in a different system than pakcages. I found this out the hard way. The would not transfer my deposit from the room only reservation to my package reservations because "they are two different systems", I had to speak to different people in Guest Relations to make sure that this cannot be done. They kept saying over and over that they are two different systemts.

So Room Only and Package Reservations are done on one computer but through two different systems.
