Booking Rooms in Advance Question

Hi all, I'm confused about how far in advance you can book a room as a DVC member. From what I've read, you can book a room 11 months in advance (for your "home" resort) and 7 months in advance for other resorts.

However, I've also read that a non-DVC member can book a room, over the phone, 499 days in advance. Thats about 16 months in advance.

What am I missing?

You won't be able to book a DVC resort for cash through DRC before a DVC member has access to them. Most of the villas will be only available for points based on the amount of points owned by members and not traded out to non-DVC Disney vacations by members. It will be about seven to ten months before.
