In hopes of receiving a discount in the near future, it is suggested that I book my resort through CRO, "Room Only". When, Where and How do I purchase my passes? I guess if saving money isn't a must getting packages is the way to go, so less confusing. Do I buy my park passes at a Disney Store? Which is the easiest, safest way to do it and is there any way of saving even more when buying passes? If discount codes come out for AP holders where would I get one of those? Thanks for answering my questions.

You can book a room with the AP discount (subject to availability and capacity control) and, after you get to WDW, go to any theme park or Downtown Disney, buy an AP, then come back (use bus if desired) to the resort and finish checking in.

Disney Stores and AAA offer different although not all kinds of park passes, discounts vary. As far as I know, there are no discounts on AP's themselves unless you are a Disney Club member then it is about $15.00 off.

Once I booked, cancelled, and rebooked individual nights to gradually convert to the AP discount.

I have always found it to be cheaper to book room with a discount code and buy our passes either at the disney store or at the hotel when we check in. I dont care for length of stay passes as you are charged for the day you leave. We always leave early in the morning and dont care to pay extra for something we cant use. Hope this helps.

I agree that it is almost always cheaper to book room and passes seperately. I would suggest getting your passes through ticketmania.com I always use them and their prices for park-hopper passes are the cheapest I've found

Thanks for the info. I did just that and booked room only. I guess getting park passes is easy enough and can be done pretty much at any time. I doubt I will get a discount but at least I know I reserved my spot in Disney!
