I want to have Inventions Dinner (6pm) on my birthday.

When would you book?

i'd do it the day before, at City Hall :).

Depends when you're going all of our trips I've booked in advance but its been weekends and school hols, on 2 of the trips we wanted to change the days and were quite restricted due to them being fully booked x

Purely because I'm a control freak and like to be extremely organised... I would book around 4-6weeks before the trip :rotfl:

As you know, I've already booked my own birthday dinner at Café Mickey :hyper:

Thanks everyone.

It's hard as with WDW I'm used to booking at exactly 6 months out. So I'm getting edgy!

I think what I'll do is either call the week before or pop into the DLH the day we arrive and book then. Will be 2 days before do I'm sure we'll be ok.

Xx

I normally call to book the important restaurants a few weeks before we go. Any others I wait and book at city hall or in the hotel when we arrive. It sounds like you already know what you want and when so it can't do any harm to book now.

NOW!!! :rotfl: You know when and where and you can always amend/cancel if you change your mind (although you're not going to,are you! ;) )

My DH is always stuck in WDW mode and starts moaning when I don't book our meals at 60 days out! The only time I ever did it that far out was for our Christmas trip - usually I book them between 6 and 4 weeks out. I know there isn't the same need to book in advance at DLP but I just feel happier knowing our meals are all sorted plus I love chatting to the CM and hearing the Disney music! :wizard:

I agree ::yes:: You know what you want and when, so why wait :goodvibes

I usually book a week before we go however also have booked the same day plenty of times.

Book as soon as possible. We left there at 8PM on Friday having booked for 6PM and the queue of non-bookers was 15-20 people! <smug>

I'm on hold now. :) Not sure what music I've got...very manic. Maybe Space Mountain?

So if i want Inventions for July 23rd i can book from May 23rd on, is that right??

How do you make reservations at the restaurants?
You just call them. :)

0033 1 60 30 40 50

Then you pick English or French. It'll probably ask you to hold for a few minutes.

I had a lovely lady yesterday who booked mine up for me. :)

Welcome to the DIS!!! Xxx

How do you make reservations at the restaurants?

depending on when you are going to DLP (ie if its a quiet time), you could just wait until you get there, and make your dining reservations either at your hotel reception, or at City Hall in the main park.

I am just in the early stages of my DLP trip. It is all new to me. I have to agree with the above post. The DISers on this forum have been so helpful and friendly!
