Do you need to book reservations for meals at Universal? What is the best way to do that and are there any must do dining venues?

Sorry, I am so used to the battle for ADR's at WDW, I feel at a loss not knowing how to plan for Universal!! LOL

Thanks for any advice/tips!!!

If you go on the universal website, www.universalorlando.com and go into each restaurant, it will give you the booking link.

Some suggested restaurants are Mythos and Cowfish. You don't need to make reservations very far in advance.

There is a food sticky here that might help you with questions you may have.

We're two weeks out from our trip and still have not made ressies. I'll make dh decide on our adults only night out over the next few days and make reservations next week. I'll make dinner ressies for Cowfish probably the night before. The crowd calendars are saying moderate crowds for our week, so I don't think we'll have issues.

I would do mythos the day before.

We were there on a slow Monday and when I checked at 11am, no 12pm reservations were available. But 12:45 and later was there. When I walked up with my reservation at Noon, i heard them tell walkups it was a 1hr 45min wait.
