Booking resort for Intimate

Hey all, SRUAlmn and I were talking about booking your resort stay. With my wedding being an intimate how do I book my long night stay with the discount? From what I read in other threads I have to book my stay before I even talk to my EP for the first time. When I call to book do I just tell them i'm having a wedding and they will apply it? Someone please clarfiy this for me...

Hi there

Intimates do not get a discount on our stays through DFTW. If you can get a discount using AP, Florida Resident's or another code, you can use it to make your reservation and then forward the reservation information to your WP.

Also, if you are too far out to be able to take advantage of those discounts, you can book a four-day at a Value resort to hold your DFTW spot and then whenever you make your "final" booking, you can change the ressie info with DFTW.

My EM said that we should have the reservation number for our stay when we call to officially book the wedding. She said that if we didn't have it that they could temporarily hold the date ( I think for 24 hrs) and we would have to call back with the reservation number, and THEN we'd get our contract. I think it just makes it a lot easier to have the reservation number when you call to book it.

You can use any discount that's available to the public. We booked with the AAA discount for now. If a better discount comes out, it can be applied/substitued.

How much is the AAA discount on resort stays?

The AAA discount is up to 30% off rack rate, depending on how far out you book. I booked the stay for our wedding over a year ago, and we have only less than 2 months until the wedding....

The AAA discount depends on the season that you are traveling. The breakdown is below

Value Season:
20% off Value and Moderate Resorts
15% off Deluxe & Home-Away-From-Home Resorts

Regular and Peak Seasons:
15% off Value and Moderate Resorts
10% off Deluxe & Home-Away-From-Home Resorts

Holiday Season: Usually not offered, but you can always ask.

When you call CRO, just ask what the AAA rate is versus the rack rate.
