Hello,

Here is a question.

If I book SSR at 11 months for a 1 bdrm for 243 points and the at 7 months change to OKW for a 1 bdrm for 218 does the 25 point difference go back to my account or do they go into holding. I really am confused on how this works.

I believe that all points go right back into your account as long as you cancel any reservation before 30 days out. The experts should show up and confirm soon, though.

As wtpclc has stated. They go back into your account if you change at 7 months.

Keep in mind that switching resorts at 7-months actually involves cancelling one reservation and making a new one. This only works if there is availability, but I assume you already knew that. Points go into the holding account only if you cancel less than 31 days from the check-in day. In your situation you'd still be 7-months away so all points return to their use year from whence they came.

As mentioned, also keep in mind your banking deadlines if you want to bank the 25 points, assuming you used regular points and not banked or borrowed points to begin with. Also keep in mind, if by chance you used a combination of banked, regular, or borrowed points in any way, that you make sure the 25 points returned come from the regular points that were used and not from any banked/borrowed points you might have used. This way you can bank them.
