Booking Question

Does anyone know that if you have already placed a deposit on a resort in WDW by using a Disney CM at 407-wdisney can you now decide to go thru a travel agent and get your deposit back from the CM at Disney or even have it transfered over to the travel agent? After all the TA is working for Disney. I hope this question makes sense

you can cancel your reservation with Disney at any time upto 5 days before (depending on the type of booking, I think WDTC bookings may be different). So, you could cancel it even if you hadn't got a new booking through the TA.

I had a CRO booking, and then my TA got me an AP rate - so she made a new booking and I cancelled the old one - they are refunding the deposit to my credit card.

Please be aware that most travel agents are not Disney "savvy" and do not know much (if anything) about codes, discounts, or specials that come along unless they are widely advertised.
What we did this year was use a Disney "specialist" from mousesaver.com. Small World Vacations (WDWVacations.com) revised our reservations twice after getting us an initial AAA discount and saved us $800.00. They even made our priority seatings for us. Try getting a "regular" travel agent to make your priority seatings for you (most will not know what you are talking about). This is all FREE!
They continually look for all possible ways to save you money. I will never try to book again myself. I don't need the craziness of worrying about codes, etc.

It is Small World Travel that I am interested in booking with. After reading about them on mousesavers I realized that they would do the AP discount for me. I really am hoping to get the AP so I can split our stay between POR and the Poly next April/May and I really don't want to have to worry myself to death about missing the AP discounts when they come out. Thanks for your info

BTW, I have a 2 friends that live in Newark. One works at the Stone Balloon the other is owner of Nick & Joe's Italian Restaurant. Just thought I'd share that.
