Booking question.

I have a Week booked at AKV.. Our 7 month booking window is opening soon. I have enough points to book 3 or 4 more Nights if I go online at 8 am but not enough for the whole week. If I do that assuming it isi even available then call at at 9 can I then try to book the entire week again assuming the days are available using the points that were with the original reservatio? I want to be sure to use them first because some other are banked points. Or does it make more sense to just wait until 9 am and call for the whole reservation!

You want to extend your current reservation? Or do you want to switch to another resort? It would be easier to understand if you post the dates and resort you already have and what you want to end up with. It's tricky because the 7 month window for extension would not be until the additional date.

I know, I am sorry for being confusing. Current ressie is Nov. 9-16. I want to switch to either BLT or BWV. With everyone stressing about going online at 8 am I thought I could do that but I don't have enough points to do tha without canceling first. I do have enough to book 3 nights, so I thought if I could do that online then at 9 I could call and book the other days too. The more I think about it, it's too complicated. I am just going to call at 9 and not try to do anything online at all.

I know BWV is already soldout for Veterans Day weekend for studios, I tried to book it earlier this month and am waitlisted.

I would just call since you want to cancel a reservation.

I kind of figured that although we are. Not looking for studio. We need a two bedroom. For this trip it may worked out best to stay at AKV. I will call to see though. Hopefully by our next trip we may be owners at BWV too!

Cutting in with a question. Can her question be done? If the nights were available Example- Book BWV Nov 9-11 at 8am on April 9. Then call member services at 9am and cancel her current AKV reservation and add on to her new reservation at BWV?

All 2 bedrooms at BWV are lockoffs, so if there are no studios there are no 2 bedrooms. There is availability for Nov 11 right now.

Yes, as long as she has enough points to make the new reservation at 8:00am and there is still availability at 9:00am to extend.

So that pretty much answers the question. There is no availability nov 9&10. Maybe if I can talk DH into a split stay we can keep AKV for the first two nights and then switch over. I know things can change day to day. I figured it would be tough the first two nights being the end of F&W. we have guests with us so we may want to stay with AKV for the third bathroom. Or BLT because there is a third bathroom there too. We will have four kids and four adults in our group.
