Booking Question

I'm new here and want to say thank you to everyone for the great information on these forums! We are getting ready to make an offer on resale at OKW. I am hoping the process goes smoothly and doesn't takes more than about 3 months-ish). What are the chances we would be able to book a one bedroom for Columbus Day week in 2013 if we don't close before our 11 mos window begins? I just don't have a good feel for how easy or difficult it is to get the dates we would want and what I should expect? We would likely (for now) normally travel in October and/or the week after New Years. Thanks!

You should have no problem booking OKW for Columbus day 2013 between your 11 and 7 month home resort booking window.

Congrats on making the decision to buy and good luck with the resale process. Although nothing is guaranteed, I would say that the chances are very, very good that you will get what you want. Typically OKW is one of the last three resorts to have availability (along with SSR and AKV). Add to that the fact that typically one bedroom units have the lowest demand and you should be all set.

The resale process takes a long time, but you seem to have the right attitude about the wait. Just remember to be patient, know that everything will work out one way or another, and you'll be fine. Good luck!

Good luck with your purchase. I love OKW, the tropical theme, room decor, size of rooms and low point requirements are all pluses in my book.

Good luck! The process is long but we closed became owners at OKW in May and could not be happier!
