Booking question at 7 months

When you call at the 7 month mark to make a reservation and the first day is not available for what you want but there are other days in the week that are available can you still book the days that are available? For example:

if I call today to book Aug. 1-Aug. 8 for a studio at BWV and only the 3rd-8th are available, can I still book the 3rd-8th or do I have to wait until Jan. 3 and call back?

You could waitlist starting Aug 1 but you could not reserve days beyond that.
