I always book these for 15 minutes after the restaurant opens then plan to show up 15 minutes before (we rely exclusively on Disney transportation to get from our resort to the park).

If Disney transportation is slow or delayed, we have less pressure to get there than if our ADR is right when the restaurant opens.

If Disney transportaiton is on time, and we arrive before the restaurant opens, we've found that we almost always get in with the first group.

So it's a win-win.

Moreover, if it's an EMH day or a park opens at 8, having an 8:15 ADR allows one of us to get FPs for one attraction while the other adult is checking us in to breakfast.

While we drive from our resort to the parks, I follow your plan of booking! Nothing better than getting into the parks early!

I’m really looking forward to this after reading about it so much on here. We’ll be doing this for the first time this summer. We have three 8:30am ADRs and one 8:15, Crystal Palace, Akershus, and Tusker House are at 8:30 and Hollywood and Vine at 8:15, giving us a pre-opening breakfast at 3 of the 4 parks. The 4th is our Tusker House ADR and it happened to be on an EMH morning for AK. Going to see if I can get us Safari fast passes before we go eat.

I know a lot of people like the 8:05 reservations, but we also rely solely on Disney Transportation and I feel less pressure with my crew going with an 8:30 ADR. The 8:15 was to give us a chance to get out a little sooner in hopes of riding TSM.

I hope things go as close to planned as possible.
