Booking Package and discount codes

I've always booked my own trip and have never used a package. Now with the new MYWT and packages I am tempted to. Can you apply a discount code to a package once its booked? I'm inclined to think that you can't but would like to hear from other DISers that have experience with packages. I'm especially interested in the packages because of the "dinning plan" unless we can do a room-only with a dinning plan?? I know it may be too early for this type of question but I thought I'd give it shot. TIA

Assuming things are going to be the same with the new MYW packages, yes - you'll be able to apply a discount code (which is only a discount off of the room portion, not any add-ons) after it's booked

The only thing you need to watch out for is if you want to apply it after the 45 day full balance paid due date - after that you may have to pay a $50 admin fee.
