Booking online with the AAA rate - can it be done?

Been looking at booking Royal Pacific Resort online for February (thanks for all the help, Macraven!). I been playing with their site universalhotels.ibe.netbooker.com (that one). I want to see if the AAA rate was available, and I tried online to enter "AAA" into the box that says "Promotion Code" but no matter what dates I use (even ones well into the future like like May or something), I never see AAA rates. The "special rates" drop-down box is empty. Is this the way to look for AAA rates or am I just doing it completely wrong? :teeth:

I guess I would have to call and deal with a real person if I can't figure this out soon. Any help appreciated! Thanks!

Ah nevermind - just saw a similar thread. Guess I have to call! Just trying for any discount at this point! I can get the annual pass rate (APH) to come up on the website, and wow - they look good! Almost wondering if I would come out the same to get an Annual Pass just for the discount. If you could get more than one room with the annual pass, that would definitely do it for us!

Argggg - more research to do! :surfweb:

You can get more than one room with an annual pass if children are staying in the extra room. i.e. If you have two adults in one room and the kids in another. At least, this was the way it used to be. Perhaps someone has done this lately?

Just booked!! :teeth:

So glad I called instead of using the website - I got the AAA discount for 2 rooms for 2 nights, equaling a $45 per room per night discount - very nice! That saved us $180 right there! I couldn't get the website to show the AAA discount, so calling was the thing to do!

Royal Pacific Resort, here we come!

For future reference, you have to either call directly or use the AAA website.

We're going to Universal for 2 nights post cruise 3/21-3/23. The rates have stayed exactly the same consistently over the last several months. Today I tried the Loews website, AAA, and Universal and Royal Pacific comes up on all searches as $294 avg per night, $639 total for the 2 nights as the best possible rate. Is there a better rate if I call AAA? Any ideas? I'm also a member of the Universal Fan Club but the site hasn't work the last 3 times I've tried to price either a room or a vacation package including the tickets.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Kathy

jkloni - I would call AAA since we are paying less than that for the HRH in Aug. with their discount. Seems that you could do better since that is after spring break dates.

i've gotten different AAA rates directly thru AAA website

i've also gotten AAA rates when calling U directly when the AAA website didn't show availability
