Booking Next Cruise While Onboard

Pre-covid, we would always just stop by guest services to get our next cruise lined up. However, I have been stalking the forum and have seen that maybe this isn’t how this is done anymore? Something about doing it all on the app? Could someone verify this for me please? Of course we prefer the one-on-one with the guest services, but I realize times have changed. If it makes a difference, we are on the Fantasy not concierge. TIA!

The Future Cruise Desk has not re-opened yet. You can buy a “placeholder” for $250 which allows you to then call and convert it to an actual cruise date with a 10% discount (and reduced deposit if 7+ nights).

If I’m understanding you correctly, I’m assuming you have to buy the placeholder on the ship? If this is correct, is there a specific place on board to go to do that or does the app have it automatically recorded when connected to the DCL Wi-Fi? Sorry if I’m being repetitive, I really appreciate your replies!

Be sure to screenshot the transaction. I purchased a placeholder on our last cruise and took the screenshot. My TA (DU) never received the confirmation. With the date and screenshot (and a bit of time) she finally put it all together but had to send me the form because the TA was not on the placeholder information. In this case, no one, the TA nor I, received confirmation. Document everything.
