Booking multiple rooms

We are looking to book 5 rooms in August at the poly. I verified with member services that the rooms are available, but we dont have enough points. We have tried a rental company, but not having any luck so now we are looking to do a transfer. Anything we need to look for? Is it hard to find a member to transfer points to us? Looks like we would need XXXXpoints. What are the basic rules for a transfer?

You can only transfer in or out once per year, so you'd need to find one owner who could do the whole thing.

You are allowed one transfer (either in or out) per UY per membership. You cannot transfer banked points. And transferred points retain their original UY. Once received, transferred points can be banked into their next UY.

You would need to find someone that has enough points in one UY to be able to meet your needs. That's a pretty tall order for Poly. Not many owners bought nearly xxxx points because it's (basically) an all-studio resort and the need for a lot of points for larger accommodations doesn't really exist.

Transfers are only done via a phone call with Member Services and both sending and receiving parties must be in on the call. The TOS prohibits the exchange of money for points and DVC will not referee any disputes. However, what members do between themselves is their business. Transfers are final transactions and cannot be reversed.

I understand the mod deleted the details, but are you only short points for one room, or two, etc. If you don’t find someone for a transfer could you try renting the points just for one of the rooms? There is a rental board on the Dis where members sometimes list transfers as well or maybe you could try renting from another rental company?
