Bear with me here....

Let's say you have points at 3 resorts
Resort A
Resort B
Resort C

At the 11-month mark, you login and book a studio at Resort A using resort A points.

At the 7-month mark, you want to keep same resort but switch to a 1-bedroom (or 2-bedroom or whatever) using points from Resort B and Resort C. At this point, do you log into your account and select to modify your reservation to see what's available? Or do you need to make a whole new reservation for a 1-bedroom?

Also, do you have to wait until the 7-month mark of the LAST day of your trip? Or do you have to go in and change the reservation every morning?

Example, your trip is June 1st-7th. Do you go in on November 1st and modify (or book?) the entire trip? Or can you only change one day at a time?

Done similar to the 11 month booking. 7 months to check in night. “Modify” the original. There will be a picking order of contracts to use. (If multiple contracts picked, the banked from each will go first). Might see a lock on contract used at 11. But if room is available for your stay at 7 months, modifications should work without member services assistance. It’s not a day by day modification.

By Modifying you will see your original booking held in the search results.

To add: can be trickier if modifying an 8+ nighter. Same 7 nights rule applies at 7 months as 11 months. Can wait until all nights can be modified at once or modify the first 7 of original and add day by day to reach original length of stay. (That last way has risk of a home resort person taking those extra days before you can).

You can modify it. If I want to save my home resort points from A, I will make a new one using the other points and then cancel the original reservation.
