Booking Miracosta in Tokyo using DVC points

Has anyone booked Miracosta with DVC points? If so, how far in advance did you need to do it and were you able to get the dates you needed?

We are going to China with Adventures by Disney next year and are planning a post trip to Japan to visit the parks. We were hoping to use DVC points to book Miracosta and would appreciate any advice. Thanks a bunch!

Why don't you look into renting your points and then paying cash?

Have fun at TDR. Been there twice this year. Hands down best Disney parks in the world.
