Need some help here...
I have one friend who will be returning home before everyone else (we already have transportation as a group from mco-wdw) so she will need to take Mears-budget is most important factor here.
I was checking out the mears website and I can only see where they book from mco to wdw...not a one way coming back-make sense?
So how do we go about booking mears for a one way trip only wdw-mco?
Also how much would it be for one adult?
How do they time the pick up-her international flight leaves at 10:55 am and she will want to be there 2 hrs prior at 8:55..
Thanks for your help!

We did that a few years ago. (From a WDW resort to MCO.)
We just called Mears a few days ahead of time. I don't recall any problems at all. In typical Mears fashion, we arrived earlier at the airport than we wanted. But other than that it worked fine.
I hate to say for certain -- and it was a few years ago -- seems like it was $16 a person for one way. I would check their site for current rates and procedures.

So you just booked from the resort?
I did check the website as I noted in my OP...just couldn't find the info! Figured some one here would have to know!!
Thanks :)

Last time I was there (Fall 02 @ ASSp) there was a direct line phone to Mears in the hotel lobby. I would assume POP would have the same.

A friend & I did a one-way from POFQ to MCO last year. We called Mears the day before and made a reservation. I think it was $17. They do want to pick you up very early. I think we had a 5:00 flight and they wanted to pick us up at 1:20! I asked when the next one was, it was 1:50, so I said we would take that one, they gave me the big spiel about how they will not be responsible if we missed our flight. The bus was a little late, we stopped at OKW to pickup others, we got to the airport by 3:00, plenty of time.

I did WDW - MCO on Mears earlier this month. As stated, you can call Mears from any resort phone (I just dialed 0, explained that I needed to arrange transportation to MCO and was connected to Mears). The cost was $17.00 payable in cash or travler's check to the driver. Not a problem!

You guys need to expand a little bit other than Mears. Did you know that Mears is the only Conglomerate who can have their desks set up for business in most the Disney hotels and airports, however, all of the other transportation companies trying to make a living will be fined if they step foot in the airport trying to solicit. Not fair if you ask me! It needs not to be a monopoly. Because they are a multi-million dollar company, they use anybody to drive their busses and cars and don't have a sense of carrying like some of the other transportation companies. You really have to do some checking around. There are some very good companies out there that don't charge you an arm and a leg for services from MCO to around Disney and beyond and you don't have to stop every 15 feet to pick up people and so forth, and so on.

Sorry, bad experience with them. And we have experienced them being so rude to other drivers and to some of their passengers. Never happen again.

We have been using Southern Elegance Limousines in Orlando. They are just wonderful. Best service we have ever had! Great people to work with! Very good prices and these people go beyond the carrying and give a little bit extra to make your trip exceptional and special... can't give away what they do, but it is well worth checking them out... They will surprise you with their professionalism and charm...

Just thought you might want to check them out too. You will definitely be glad you did.... Can't say enough good about them.

Good luck!

AS I noted in my original post...budget is a factor--in fact-it is the most important factor.
If you can point me in the direction of a company that will meet or beat the rate of mears then please do so-otherwise we don't need convincing to try another company as more money for transportation is not a option.

Hey Grover,

Budget is VERY important, I agree. Then try Southern Elegance Limousines. They are far less expensive than Mears by a long shot plus they are great! You'll love them. Give them a try. Call and get a quote of what you want, you will be pleasantly surprised in the cost. Very, very reasonable.

Good Luck.

Hi Suzyqpeach,

You have been promoting Southern Elegance for quite a while now. Just about every post you wrote involves convincing people about how great they are. Do you work for them? How do you know so much about Mears and how the Orlando airport works (soliciting and all). Just curious...

Oh No, I wish! Still in outskirts of Atlanta. I have friends who live in Orlando and now my son has moved there with his wife. We get the scoop on just about everything there. We love Orlando, just we are very curious also.. That's how we learn, I suppose.

We usually visit, ourselves at least once every two months for business (and pleasure)...We have been going to Orlando for the past 15 years, business and family fun and have been around the block with the transportation circuit, that's all. We have just found a good company and can't say enough good about them. That's all. Sorry, didn't mean to offend anybody. That is just my personality when I like something I tend to go over board a bit but I know what I like, you know? And me personally, I don't like Mears...

Also there are also other people who have used this company you can ask, for ex, "MoBetsy," "Ode", can't think of the rest, but you can check with them...
