Booking in the 180 +10 when parties arrive different dates

We are doing a trip with my sister's family but they are arriving four days before us and we will overlap for three days. We will then be there three days after they leave.

Will they be able to make dining reservations that include us right when their 180+10 opens up?

Or will we have to wait for our window to open?

are you sure about this, if it is 2 separate reservations, the 1st reservation will be able to make 180+7 (until the end of their reservation), then the 2nd reservation would need to make their own reservations for the last 3 days...

There's no link between ADR's and resort stays, other than the ability to book for the length of a stay. You could have a reservation for one person and book ADR's for 12 people.

In this case, the sister will be able to make reservations for everyone through their reservation. The OP won't be able to book the final three days until they hit their 180 day mark.

Since the OP was asking about reservations "that include us" I was assuming they were asking about reservations where the 2 families would be eating together. For the last 3 days when only the OP and her family will be there you are correct that she will have to wait until 180 days before her arrival day to make those reservations.

I did this for mine and my friends trips.. They arrive a day later than me. I booked my adrs for myself, the adrs we are doing together and their adrs for them since their check in date was only a day behind mine, it was all easy because we are linked on MDE. They arrive a day after me and they leave to go home the day before me. They should be able to book the adrs that you are doing together with no problem. If you want to see the adrs on your MDE then make sure you are linked as family and friends first. If not then they can just choose the number of guests for each adr and keep the guest boxes blank. Shouldn't be a problem for the adrs you are doing together.. For the last 3 days, then yes you will have to do those yourself.
