booking hotel rooms help

for our last 2 disney vacations we booked the entire thing through a travel agent.

I will be doing it by myself this time but I am very nervous......

I want to book rooms asap as I need a 2 bedroom suite, if I book now and the price goes down ... You just phone them and they adjust it????

also terrified that I will get there and they will have lost reservations, do people normally phone and check on reservations a time or two before they arrive?

is it better to book through travelocity or like or just go through the hotel itself?? the rates seem to be the same for the hotels we are wanting.

I personally like to book directly with the hotel. You can get more information on additional fees and their price policy (so you can get a lower price if it comes down). Make sure to have them email you a confirmation and we're calling a week before we leave to confirm all our reservations. HTH
