Booking HDDR and using DDP

We're interested in booking HDDR for our June trip. Does the entire amount of the ressie go on a cc when booking and then get credited back when you use your DDP credits, or do you tell CR you'll be using the DDP when you book?

NO WHEN U MAKE UR RESSIES TELL THEM U R ON THE DINING PLAN THEY WILL ASK FOR A CREDIT CARD TO HOLD RESSIE IF U DONT SHOW THEY WILL CHARGE UR CARD LEAVE IN 4 DAYS
