Booking FP's for Party Nights?

I'm working on our touring plan for our trip in 292 days (lol). We plan on going to the Christmas party and being in the MK the same day.

I seem to recall that you can book FP's between 4-6 on a party ticket?

I tried to to this last year, but I couldn't get it to work. I wonder if it is because I linked our party tickets to the same MDE as our regular tickets? Do I need to create another MDE for this to work?

Yes, you can not book FP if you already have them. I guess you can have another account but you need to make sure you enter the park on your party ticket.

That’s what I did two years in a row for MVMCP. It eliminates the risk of FPs getting cancelled for not having enough ticket entitlements.

There has been some debate on whether FP will be available for party nights at all. If you have a party only ticket you technically don’t get to make FP even though this has not been the case in the past. This past year some people lost their last day of FP when they scheduled FP for a party day between 4-6 while entering with only a party ticket. If you use a ticket for park entry that day you still only get 3 total to start with. It seems Disney is cracking down on people making FP when no linked park ticket has been used to enter the park. So what happened this year may not be what happens next year.

Also, creating another MDE account might be taken as a way to skirt Disney rules which could result in a locked account.

If what you're wanting to do is have 3 FP+ during the day on your regular ticket and then 3 more after 4 on your party ticket, you can't. Three FP+ in one day is all you get.

This is only true if Party tickets and regular park tickets are assigned to the same MDX profile. OP was specifically asking about assigning party tix to a different MDX profile, in which case OP would be able to hold a full set of FPs for all ticket-days as well as another single day set of FPs for the party.
